Webmaster's
Notes
So, what exactly is this part of the site? Quite simply it
is the one part of the site where I can prattle on about the
Lance and Longbow Society web site rather than the society
itself.
Recent
Changes to the Site
The Related Sites page has now been broken down into
three sections to make it easier to browse. There has also
been changes to the Downloads and the Related info
section. This area covers information and material that is
not strictly core Land and Longbow Society stuff, but which
is still useful and in the period the society covers. Many
thanks to Martin Stephenson for all his hard work in compiling
this information.
Members
of the society now receive a copy of The Scourer with
each of their regular copies of The Hobilar. Some of
these have been converted into PDF format and are now available
for download to nonmembers.
Finally,
we can now sign up new members and subscriptions renewal on-line
via the PayPal system. It is now possible to purchase various
publications the society has to offer via the PayPal system.
The
Guest Book / Message Board
The message board link now takes you through to the society's
new e-mail group. The guest book has now been removed due
to excessive spamming.
Using
the Site
Browser
Compatibility : In my opinion the best web browser is
Microsoft's Internet Explorer, however, not everyone uses
that. Consequently I have tried to make this site usable in
most browsers. It was designed to be viewed on a monitor set
to at least 800x600 resolution and has been tested on Internet
Explorer 4+ and Netscape Navigator 4+.
Navigating
the Site : To navigate your way round the various sections
of the site, simply click on one of the links (that's underlined
text for those of you new to the web) in the navigation panel
on the right. When you click on one of these links you will
be taken to the appropriate section of the web site.
Problems
: Should you experience any problems in using this site
then please let me know, details on how I can be contacted
are on the Contact
Details page.
...
finally enjoy the site - Mark Richardson (April 2004)
